Today is World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma surrounding mental health.

Mental health is something many of us are struggling with. Whether it’s the issues that got you into trouble in the first place, whether it’s the trouble you got into that created the trauma in your life, or whether it’s the feelings of depression, isolation, shame, or hopelessness that comes with being forced to register as a sex offender.

Let yourself recognize that the emotional pain you might be feeling is normal and that you are not alone. Being vulnerable is not being weak. Reaching out for help is the first step. If you are struggling, FAC is here!

I guess that means today is a good day for those who support registries to evaluate themselves and ask themselves why they continue to believe in misinformation.

I would add anxiety, panic attacks, hyper vigilance and PTSD to the unfortunate list of registry specific psychological outcomes as well.

“Awareness” campaigns are little more than magical thinking and feel-good nonsense that never translate into real-world solutions – much less benefit humanity.

The drive to create the Online registry was foisted upon us via “awareness.”

We all know how that turned out.

America has a long history with ulterior motives and hidden agendas. Unless it can be monetized, these movements rarely gain traction.
