Presence at church daycare to visit sister gets registrant jail time.

Daniel Walker, was 18 when he was convicted of raping a 17 year old he said was his girlfriend at the time. Fast forward 24 years and he is a 42 year old man who was just sentenced to a minimum of  two years and four months in prison and a maximum of five years and four months for visiting his sister, who worked at a Church daycare in North Carolina. He is not alleged to have done anything illegal there, just by virtue of him being present he can spend the next half-decade in prison.

      No hope
My parents are elderly and my first prison sentence way back in the early 90s about killed them. If I was sent back, I would probably go out in a blaze of glory and make the news.

These recent decisions have convinced me the courts are crooked and they do not care two shits about us. They are getting scared about all the recent victories we have gained around the nation and are looking to violate as many of us as they can. We are easy targets and sitting ducks.

I mean for example look at someone who gets off the registry and moves to another state, only to be put back on. WHY move in the first place if you know that is going to happen.

It is capitalism. Securus needs to sell phone time, Keefe needs to sell coffee. These companies along with private prison lobbyists enter contracts with state representatives to join their ALEC group who obtain election money. In return, the representatives contractually must vote to increase the sentences for prisoners. 20% of all black men will be in prison at some time in their lives. Why would the United States government give up this valuable property of the black men they purchased and enjoy ownership of? White folks have been telling the black men that they are free! (Don’t let them see that exception to the 13th amendment or they may feel duped). MORE PROFITS, LESS FREEDOM! USA, USA!

Sorry but as a 42 year old man, who is a registrant, he should know, regardless of why he is there, that being at a daycare violates the SO laws. Yes the law is unduly punitive. Yes the laws should be abolished. And yes, the prosecutor should have seen the totality of the situation and had the charges dropped.

But until these draconian laws are finally taken down, WE HAVE TO OBEY THEM or face the consequences. I am not allowed to go to schools. I know I’m not allowed to go to schools. So guess what? I dont go to schools. AR laws say I cant go to water parks. So I dont go to water parks. When I was in FL the good folks at Disney banned me from entering their park. If I did go, they would charge me with trespassing. Was I legally allowed to go? Yes. Did they, Disney, have the right to ban me from the park? Yes. So to avoid any hassles and legal issues, I didnt go to the park. I happily spent my time and money at Universal.

There’s a lesson to be learned here.

I have had the police call FDLE on me at least 9 times for being on school grounds ( I had legit reasons ) and they never advised me of what was said to them , except for one occasion, and they always let me go with a warning.
The one time the cool as heck LT. told me FDLE told him THEY were not even sure so for him to make the decision. He told me he would feel more comfortable if I was not there and I left although I had finished registering my kid for school already and was done. ( Again a license plate reader got me )

NOW as far as the airports. good Lord I have stopped traveling. I have been detained at least 20 times by TSA and held while they contacted the Department of justice to see if they could arrest me for traveling as a sex offender. Each time I was let go but now you have to register pretty much all travel and I do not have the money to travel anymore anyway.

Or maybe people who are registered are getting to a point of “I don’t give a shit”. Like seriously, who cares where this man goes? How many daycare providers and school teachers over the years have been the ones to commit sex offenses?
No one cared about sex offenders going into schools or parks back in the 1980’s so why make it an issue now? I’m sure plenty of men with sex convictions picked their own kids up from school back in the day with no issues. Picked up their teacher spouses with no issues.
This shit has got to stop.

I was getting around the Disney thing by just getting someone to buy me a one day pass that day and they do not check your ID. ONLY when you had an annual pass did they know who you are.

That all changed with the covid re-opening. NOW , every single person has to register BEFORE hand to enter the parks. So basically, Disney now has their own registry for EVERYONE. And I am sure they use it for background checks and banned people who were trespassed for fighting or possession off drugs on park grounds.

If I still wanted to go, I have a friend who works there who said she could get me in. I just don’t have the bribe money to pay her lol

      Kevin,

When were you able to go to Universal? Are you still allowed to go there?

All lives dont matter! It’s pretty evident that the state law makers and there constituents don’t care if anyone, with any sex offence , of any degree, die broke and homelss. I hate to admit that but I dont know any other way to say it. This is proof of that.

I am by no means in favor of what has happened to this man. But I have to say this: If I am going to err, it will be on the side of caution! The law sucks but it is still the law. And no matter what the purpose of being there was, he was in violation of the Statute. You will never find me in a School, a Day Care, or a Park! Just common sense!

At some point there may be a couple hundred thousand of us that take not-so-nice measures to defend freedom.

I’ve already been doing that for a long time. And I am shown just about every day that it is the moral course of action.

These criminal regimes have been paying consequences for their Hit Lists. They are too stupid to know it and too arrogant to care.

The comments here suggesting that, well, he was a registrant and just should have stayed away, are insufficient, I’m afraid.

The judge reminds Walker to respect the law. But that’s asking a lot, when the law does this. Nothing in the record suggests he was a risk to the day care. And the facts establish a need for him to be there. Neither of these facts were even disputed by judge or prosecutor.

Shame on this judge for thinking that putting Walker away is OK. We should NEVER be OK with such laws. And we need to keep reading stories like this to remind us to volunteer or donate. And, yes, to comply.

COME THE HELL ON! Seriously. Both these two cases, this one and the guy at the park are starting to scare me. They want us ALL out of society and freedom taken away. They know most of society hates sex offenders due to all the over played drama and fear.

The Authorities know they can get away with this because hardly anyone is going to care. Maybe us, a few lawyers, and a few advocacy groups and the what not. I mean where I live I cannot got 10 feet without there being a school, playground, day care, hospital, nursing home, or other gathering place.

HERE is the kicker. Kids walk down the street in front of our houses every day and we are not arrested but if we even are caught driving by any restricted place, we are done. Does that make any sense at all????

but…but….but..its civil…….. B.S. I find it funny that the police and politicians have their panties in a knot right now because some people are doxxing them and placing their names and family’s names on the internet.. Seems I can not think of anyone that deserved a registry more then police and politicians..

“He is not alleged to have done anything illegal there”?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

How in the Fudge can you be arrested for something that is NOT illegal?????????????????????

This sort of thing does in fact remind me of what happened in Germany in WWII. Rounding up people who were NOT doing anything wrong, just because you do not like them. I know we we told to stop comparing the two BUT in this instance, it is exactly like that because this guy was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when a Snitch *itch told on him.

I hope his sister resigned without notice and stuck the place with no help. AND for Heaven’s, it was a CHURCH! Come on, a church is supposed to be a sanctuary of hope, peace, love, safety, forgiveness…………………..

      Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you that labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.

To clarify, he is alleged to have done something illegal. But he is not alleged to have done anything harmful, nor to have put anyone at risk. Nor do they have to— the law here is so bad that all they have to do is establish that he was present while registered. Which is illegal in that jurisdiction.

ANYTHING that can get you arrested is punitive, not sure what the judges are smoking but they need to lay off it for a while as it is clouding their judgement or lack thereof.

Civil laws can have criminal penalties.

I also think it is funny that politicians and police are suffering. I’m sad that I must feel that way though. If we were all better people, perhaps the world could be a better place. But nah, the Registries have taught me that empathy and compassion have no place in America. I don’t have to care about other people.

I’m glad the person in the article has ignored the Registry “laws” so often. The “laws” deserve complete disrespect and contempt, every day. The only reason to follow the “laws” or care about them at all is because they are a weapon in the war on American citizens. The only reason to follow the “laws” is to neutralize that weapon. That’s all.

I have to say that if I had suffered the same consequences from these “laws” as the guy in the article, I would have already massively retaliated long, long ago. Dipshit big government would be worried about me walking in a park when in reality, serious destruction and harm would have resulted from their harassment of me. Everyone seems to be just fine with that.
