Petty, Petty, Petty: Ocala sex offender arrested for failing to update license

Another registrant was arrested. This time for not updating his drivers license. On May 26, he reported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and updated his registration after being released from the Department of Corrections. This past Thursday he came back to report that he intended to move to New York. He was arrested for not reporting to the DHSMV to get a branded drivers license within 48 hours.

In the meantime the drivers license offices in Florida were CLOSED because of Coronavirus and just opened for limited services on June 3rd. The day before he reported!!! (https://www.flhsmv.gov/covid-19)

WTF?!?!?! In the meantime, he is being held without bail in the Marion County Jail until a July 7th hearing.

Nowadays we are hearing and reading about this kind of BS on an almost constant basis. It’s not only registered citizens who are having to put up with law enforcement out of control. I know some law enforcement officers and respect them but there are some who just cannot handle authority and should never be allowed to wear a badge or carry a gun…they are a danger to society. No I am not recommending another registry.

Captain….mostly the ‘Inbreds’ in the Panhandle of Florida wherein 67% of all State Prisons are located…it is a perfectly acceptable bunch of Redneck-InBreds that unleash their ‘Sperm of Hatred’….and usher in, their in-bred children to become ‘Guards’, in FLDOC…this is a FACT!

      …it is a systemic system of Spine-less, OVERWEIGHT DUMB-FCKS!

The registry is designed from the ground up to be a minefield of legal “gotchas”. It is designed to be as difficult to comply with as is humanly possible. The state banks on being able to re-incarcerate humans forced to register and get them back in a cage at their every whim. The truth is, Captain, the state would be just as happy if not a single one of us was EVER released from prison to begin with. Some might even be happy if sexual crimes across the board were death penalty offenses. Look at how many have been murdered by vigilantes who have used the registry as a hit list. The registry gives the states a blank check to endlessly harass humans forced to register and keep them in a perpetual state of fear for the remainder of their lives.

The Adam Walsh Act requirements serve more to re-incarcerate offenders than provide information to the sheriff’s office.
There is so much more stringent information requirements that a person is always on the edge of going back to prison.
    What are the next amendments?
‘All offenders shall report any change of house color or style within 5 days of job completion”
All offenders shall report any change of tire brand or tire style including rims of any vehicle registered to them or any vehicle they drive within 3 days of such change.
All offenders shall report any changes of clothing style, hair style, eyeglasses, or any other change of appearance including shoes within 3 days of such change.
All offenders shall register every store or place of patronage frequented by registrant.
All offenders shall register each street upon which they walk, bicycle, drive, or use including park trails.
All offenders must register their spouse, friend(s), relatives, or any other person involved in any way with registrant.
All offenders must report any visits to the doctor, dentist, or psychologist, or visit to any other medical or psychiatric facilities within 3 days of such visit.
FAILURE TO NOTIFY OR REGISTER ANY SUCH CHANGES WILL RESULT IN CRIMINAL PROSECUTION AND IS A FELONY OF THE SECOND DEGREE.

The Adam Walsh Act is a total embarrassment to his legacy. To bad Adam’s mom wasn’t charged with negligence while she shopped for lamps. By the way how can you tell if a body has been sexually assaulted by just the head. John Walsh is an opportunist to fill his agenda. President George W I cant pronounce nuclear was the worthless pos that signed this into law.

A lot of registered citizens are African Americans and other minority groups. Marching with BLM I don’t know people would burn us at a drop of the hat. I’d carry a sign you and most of your family are a sex offenders too; just haven’t been convicted.

I’m really bummed because I would like to visit FL – but not with the insanity that goes on down there…

I wouldn’t recommend it being in Florida less than 3 days or if you’re over you’ll be on their list for life. Instead I’d fill up the tub; buy some sand sprinkling it around; buy some inflatable palm trees and imagine being in Florida.

Ladies and gentlemen. It is sad to say and if true, worse than sad but it would seem there is a systemic element of self righteousness and worse, a sense of self satisfaction in busting registered persons for even the slightest infractions. It is evil in the hearts of mankind. From my own experience and looking from the outside of your particular system, I would say set reminders on your phone a week out, a day out and the hour to file docs to stay within the law. It would appear you are not going to catch a break. My sympathies folks.

I almost went in to do my June registration today but I had decided to put it off until tomorrow. That’s a good thing because I got a call in the early afternoon from one of the deputies saying that they were going to do my update by phone because they had close down the office and didn’t want people coming in just yet. I pointed out that they were doing things a bit differently than some other counties and the deputy said yes we know. We’ve heard that before. We know who you are and that you are no trouble and frankly we have enough to do With the people who want to challenge the system constantly. I’m not a huge fan of the local sheriff but he is certainly higher up the list than some of these other pinheads like the guys from Seminole Volusia Brevard Marion etc. Question for anyone who lives in Seminole County. Is there some kind of county ordinance that says they have to always have an uptight jerk is there a sheriff? I remember from 30 years ago the sheriff in that county going after strip joints and dirty book stores. Apparently not much has changed

Ensure you get a copy of your completed registration paperwork before the end of the month. If you don’t have that proof in hand, you’re inviting an arrest.

@FAC, Duval neither gave nor offered paperwork for over-the-phone re-registration. I do have the names of the officers/detectives I spoke with as well as the date/times of the calls (per my phone records).

I would record every phone call with those lying MFers, legal or not. No way will I ever have a conversation with law enforcement that is not recorded. Won’t happen. Not ever. Not for any reason. They lie. Always.

The only reason it would be illegal to record a conversation would be if someone wants to maintain the option to lie about it. What do they have to hide? The truth.

I’d see if the sheriff’s office could send you an email or set up a time to get a copy. I rather be inconvenienced for a hour than years in jail over a civil non punishment. Good luck!!

If there men really intended to break the law they would of just skipped registration. Regardless if one put it off due to circumstances in life or the DMV was closed due to a pandemic they still went in. Resources could of been spent on real criminals, but nothing catches then local SO fails to register. For something that is civil and not punishment there’s a huge price to pay.

Governor Desatan should of issued an order to end in person registration during these times and should of made DMV services available on the phone or online. For a governor that served in the military he sure doesn’t comprehend freedom and justice for all.

Wasn’t he a military prosecutor? Justice for his peeps and hanging for the so called creeps. Justice is supposed to be blind and the scales balanced; however bias prevails. Hitler must be so proud of the government for using propaganda of protecting children.

Also, “recently got out of prison,” is gaslighting to make him appear more dangerous. He got out of prison almost two years ago. And wasn’t it nice of the Ocala-News to publish his address? Way to put a target on his family, Cheese-Man.

Wow, good thing they caught this “criminal”. Look at all the harm his “crime” did. Look at all the danger he caused. I’m sure they saved a lot of children.

It is a simple fact that no actual American can think this is acceptable. The Registries Hit List must be destroyed. Otherwise we will constantly have criminals like these law enforcement criminals (LECs) who are arresting people for things like this.

This is an outrage and very, very possibly could lead to actual, serious, harmful crimes. These LECs are idiots. But the criminal legislators and idiot public forced them into it. All must pay consequences.

I pray that this guy retaliates in a very harmful and destructive way. I’ve already made a promise to myself about what will happen if I am ever arrested for anything related to the Hit Lists. An arrest will be viewed as the act of war that it is. The dummies that think the Hit Lists are just fine and only harm the families who are listed on them are obviously wrong. But they don’t care. They are stupid and arrogant. They love jacking off with their Hit Lists and getting off is what they actually care about most in the world. All the talk about public safety and protecting children are obvious lies.

Defund the police. Everywhere and in every way possible. That doesn’t mean eliminate police. It means keeping as much resources away from them as possible – $$$$$, time, information, everything.

Just one more reason I will never set foot in Florida. I registered by phone in May which took about 10 minutes. The deputy called me, was courteous and sent a confirmation email that I forwarded to my federal PO. I am flabbergasted every time I read the FAC postings. You guys have my sympathies.

Biggest mistake I made was moving to Florida. After 5 years of their bs my family and I decided to move. Crazy how every county is different with their own rules and how they treat you.

Florida’s motto should be come on vacation, leave on probation. If it’s a sex offense you get an extra prize registration. Former Governor Scott was right it’s scorched earth for registrants!! We’ve got you for life so come one and all, it’s more money for us even if you never fall.

When I lived in Florida I couldn’t believe all the bills proposed on registrants in 5 years and none of them good. Even now I read the bills and scratch my head thinking how much more damage can be done. Florida registrants have my sympathies also; after all their my brothers and sisters from another mother. Though we aren’t obviously related we share a bond that most people will never understand based only on a conviction. Now the question I have to ask myself is how much do I want to get involved in the fight. To bad there’s not a Dear Abby I need your advice and guidance; yet I’ll figure it out.

Brandon, there’s no fight to get involved. Registrants here are sitting ducks enduring. I make calls every month to offer an opportunity to get together and discuss challenges. I will write letters to legislators. Nobody wants to get involved. I lost hope and I am exploring other states where my son can go live ones his time in prison is up.

I completely understand your frustration I felt that way living in Florida. Currently I’m not a member of FAC, no longer live in Florida, but yesterday I was asked about the out of state challenge. For me it would benefit others that are in my situation; yet won’t do anything for Florida registrants however I still write to Florida lawmakers to make some noise and I feel guilty. Regardless of where we live we all have the same goal: abolishing the Hit list. I hope your son can go to a state where he can live his life to the fullest. Never give up hope because if you do our enemies win!!

We have so much to learn with the BLM protesters, if we don’t start making noise no one will ever hear us. If this guy had support to fight against this unjust practice we all benefit, but registrants are the only oppressed people who don’t fight for their better days. Sad.

I would like you to clarify this a little bit more ma’am. Are you saying that he was released from probation, went to the sheriffs office and reported his address, could not get a scheduled appointment for a valid drivers license, and then decided to move to New York? Was he waiting on an appointment to get a drivers license? U really need to go into more detail on this.
