NYCLU files class action lawsuit over geographic restriction of 1,000 feet
The NYCLU filed a class action lawsuit challenging New York Executive Law § 259-c (14) in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging the 1,000-foot geographic restriction violates the 14th Amendment.

They don’t need that law. 1000 feet 20 feet. If they have a ankle monitor they will be caught if they want to act up. It’s the ones who aren’t following rules that they let out of civil commitment.
