“Nobody is as bad as their worst decision, nor as good as their best success.”
“Nobody is as bad as their worst decision, nor as good as their best success.” That was the quote from the attorney for a Judge who plead guilty to a federal child pornography indictment (yes, you read that correctly… the Judge is the one that plead guilty).
We don’t ordinarily publicize these convictions, but we are highlighting this one for two reasons. First, to remind everyone that perpetrators of sexual crimes can be anybody, including police officers, teachers and even a Judge who worked in children’s court (yes, you read that correctly… he worked at the Juvenile Justice Center in Minneapolis). Second, is the quote.
If this Judge believes that nobody is as bad as their worst decision, hopefully others will also.
Lol I love you FAC. You took a page from shady gradys book (” yes you read that correctly “) he so loves to over emphasize his point with that sound bite let’s fight fire with fire.
Of course my first guy reaction is, I wonder if he had that same attitude as a judge to those people that were found guilty in front of him. But, after a few moments of reflection regardless of his past actions against others the quote is correct. I’m personally trying to not judge, build up some good karma, show kindness to others before I leave this world. But that’s not the point. The point is yes, he is probably the last person the world would think it doing something like that. But anyone could be that person. That’s why I’m so against the registry, other than me being on it. I don’t want it need a village to raise my child it keep them safe, I do that. I don’t need a registry to tell me who is safe for my kids to be around, I do that. This story should, but probably won’t, make people realize that as parents it is their responsibility to vet who is safe and not. Not a bloated system that, by this story, proves to beineffective at it’s intended purpose.
Well, perhaps this lawyer turned judge turned convicted sex offender can help our cause somehow. I know from experience that he’ll have access to Lexis Nexis legal research in federal prison.
Do know anything about this judge so cannot comment on him personally. Having said that, it is ironic when WE go before a judge, it is rare to get any mercy. Yet when one of them gets arrested, they expect favoritism.

Cherokee, your cynicism is showing. But I must say you have come by it honestly. And thanks. Now I won’t need to post my cynical comment. LOL

NO no, by all means it is a free country, go ahead and post.
Oh wait, on second thought, it is a free country for everyone but those unfortunate registered citizens like ourselves.
In other words, watch what you say, big brother is listening. At the very least I am sure there are some spies on this site. I could swear Grady Judd did a drive by on my house last week. When I peeked out the window, he had Cowboy Chitwood in the passenger seat.
I found ALL the sheriffs on a registry, um I mean directory .
https://www.flsheriffs.org/sheriffs/directory/
It is a nice listing, but still doesn’t hold a candle to the state-sponsored doxing implemented on PFRs.
It is a good quote and true. I fear that his newfound “sex offender” status will have other judges, clerks, and lawyers dismiss it despite his experience in law.
“Nobody is as bad as their worst decision”
Well, lets see, another similar quote/saying is:
“Your past doesn’t define you or who you are.” or “You are not your past.”
Yet for everyone forced to register, public perception is the opposite of those quotes because of the horn effect and the constant expose of misinformation.
Course I like the pharase for ever “Action” there is an quual and opposite reaction or do we make dicisions or choices? Now making a decision and a choice are two different issues. FAC has already made a dicision so were does that leave the tongue of this issue or what one says is what one gets. So were is the respect.
In the registry there is none yet the bline still lead the blind. or who still plays records backwards to find out the meaning?
And its gonna take money, a who lot of spending money or who does it right.
