Member Submission: Encouraging Oral Arguments

If you would like to be encouraged and listen to some court oral arguments regarding WINNING cases on sex offender laws as well as footage of those who are speaking out, feel free to visit my youtube page https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XOlMXqFCYE

Personally, I find it totally fascinating to hear the actual words and reaction of these judges when presented with our cases.  Therefore, I have dedicated this page in order to encourage others about the Solution rather than focusing so much on the problem.  Right now there are 7 states (hawaii, maryland, ohio, pennsylvania, nevada, alaska and maine) whose State Supreme Courts have found that their sex offender laws or sections thereof violate their State’s Constitution.

Change is happening, slowly, but it is happening.  I created this page during my own fight to get off the registry which I finally won with the help of Larry Neely and my attorney in New Mexico in 2015.  I say this to encourage others.  Even though one may live in a state, like mine, where their Supreme Court has yet to rule on such matters, I encourage everyone to be actively fighting their own case.   New Mexico, like many states in which we live, there is work being done behind the scenes on the legislative level, preventing laws from coming into existence.   This work is equally important and I am currently trying to include more information about this on my page.

Most recently, I was extremely encouraged to hear what happened in Florida (my home state and where I am still listed) and that can be found here:  https://floridaactioncommittee.org/thank-you-for-reading-this/

Thanks! In the recent Injunction ruling regarding the updated Interest Identifying laws in Florida, the Judge ruled the Statute “VAGUE” this is president of sorts becuase we can say the entire way Florida punishes sex crimes is most certainly VAGUE which could lead to a Constitutional challenge. How did ypu get off NM registry?
