Internet Identifier update
We have been bombarded with questions and concerns about the new internet identifier law that was just put into effect and the email notification circulated by the FDLE today.
Please be assured that there are very competent attorneys working on this issue.
FAC has sent a letter to the FDLE this morning, which can be found here: https://fac.securityinsight.pro/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Internet-Identifier-Inquiry2.pdf
Continue to check back here for updates.
FAC remains eternally grateful to the attorneys at Weitzner and Jonas, the Florida Justice Institute, as well as the FACDL and numerous members of the legal community whose generous contributions kick-started this challenge.
What the heck!!! I just learned of this change today. I already have all my accounts on the site but come on. I did not even get an email or letter about this change. I wonder how many others don’t have a clue to the update? FL never ceases to amaze me.
I mad the sad decision not to actively participate in a few different church forms that i been active in as my religious views is not the government business and i did not see anything exempting that thus i suppose there is no longer freedom of religion if your on the hit list nor is their separation of church and state if your on the hit list. a sad day indeed for SO’s in Florida!
Well, according to Rick Scott, and apparently several other toolbag Senators, Floridians are “vulnerable”. Just read all of this absurdity, including Lauren Book’s statement about how she appreciates increasing punishments for offenders and predators.
What a bunch of blind fools.

Although I realize that is old news, the statements are just mind-blowing….
This article makes me sick. Facts and statistics mean nothing when it comes to a sex offender. As a life long resident in Florida how much longer before we have no rights at all. SMH
I want to cation everyone not to play games with the law. Register everything and play it safe. I believe the courts will have there say. This law is no diffrent then the 2016 law currently under injunction. And personal opinion the court will not be happy that florida passed the same law to circumvent the injunction. So hold on stay strong florida they day will come where we can have our lives back.
I just filled out the internet identifiers on the FDLE website. Most of my apps were on the drop down list. Obviously unconstitutional, but I need to be fully compliant until the courts have their say.
Great advise.. very little change from 2016. Some more apps added. Register all email, chat, twitter any social website you use that is a social connection. Register everything, stay compliant and you will be good to go. When you reregister that info you entered will be asked of you to verify. What happened to the injunction? They passed the same language bill as before. Are are lawyers slerping?
Florida circumvented the 2016 law with a new one. With the temp injunction and packing ham it should not take long for a judge to rescind this one also. The fact is already on top of this.
I am so thankful to have FAC and NARSOL watching out for those who need a powerful voice. I trust both to do what is best in all situations. I can sleep well tonight because I know FAC and NARSOL are on watch.
Thanx!
I don’t even know what an internet identifier is. When I say something on the internet I use my real name. I do not say anything that I would not want affixed to my name.
