FAC Letter to Nextdoor.com

Unlike some social media platforms that prevent someone on the registry from creating an account, Nextdoor.com prevents anyone in the same household as a sex offender from creating an account. That includes, spouses, children, roommates and anyone else who happens to share the same address as a registrant.

In response to inquiries from members, Nextdoor claims that this policy is a condition of the public entities (law enforcement, municipalities, etc.) that they partner with.

FAC sent the following letter to Nextdoor.com, inviting them to reconsider their policy in light of the recent Packingham decision.

Interesting. They are a California corporation. Doesn’t that violate California law regarding denial of “business services” even before you consider that they are claiming they are doing it on “orders” from government agencies and the Packingham implications?

The reason there was dead silence is, if they give a reason, that can give you leverage in a lawsuit which they know so they say nothing giving you little ammo as to a reason. No reason in their mind equates to no discrimination.

This business seems to be in violation of California Penal Codes 290.46(2)(H), 290.46(4)(A) and 290.46(B):

      (2) Except as authorized under paragraph (1) or any other provision of law, use of any information that is disclosed pursuant to this section for purposes relating to any of the following is prohibited:
      (H) Benefits, privileges, or services provided by any business establishment.

      (4) (A) Any use of information disclosed pursuant to this section for purposes other than those provided by paragraph (1) or in violation of paragraph (2) shall make the user liable for the actual damages, and any amount that may be determined by a jury or a court sitting without a jury, not exceeding three times the amount of actual damage, and not less than two hundred fifty dollars ($250), and attorney s fees, exemplary damages, or a civil penalty not exceeding twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000).

      (B) Whenever there is reasonable cause to believe that any person or group of persons is engaged in a pattern or practice of misuse of the information available via an Internet Web site established pursuant to this section in violation of paragraph (2), the Attorney General, any district attorney, or city attorney, or any person aggrieved by the misuse is authorized to bring a civil action in the appropriate court requesting preventive relief, including an application for a permanent or temporary injunction, restraining order, or other order against the person or group of persons responsible for the pattern or practice of misuse. The foregoing remedies shall be independent of any other remedies or procedures that may be available to an aggrieved party under other provisions of law, including Part 2 (commencing with Section 43) of Division 1 of the Civil Code.

Janice Bellucci has in the past asked to forward to her any evidence of banishment, especially in written form. This is especially true with jobs or housing in particular, but I sent this on to her due to the banishment from business establishment factor.

While my household was targeted, I was included in the banishment, in violation of California State Law.

If I had to take a stab at it, I believe their policy is simply that they don’t want registrants knowing goings-on in their own neigborhoods. For example, whether they are a topic of discussion.

That points out the other nasty thing about sex offender registries. The entire family is made to suffer. As a registered offender, I have been reluctant to even ask a woman on a date. I don’t want her to share my stigma. How do you explain to a child why daddy can’t come to your school play?

Great! “Nextdoor” turned me down even after I received an invitation from my HOA. I have lived in my home for over 14 years. Their restriction is total BS and makes their organization totally useless. Car ‘break-ins’ and burglaries affect RSO’s just the same as they affect any other home owner.

Nextdoor, like all other “Social Media Outlets” should let us on there. (They can keep an eye on us there, instead of wondering what we are doing?? LOL) They have Council meetings, City Meetings, Town Halls on Facebook and we cant watch them; yet they tout it as “a Public Event”.
I hope that this is going to be the first step in letting us RSO’s back into; not only Social Media, but back out into the open. Where we can talk with neighbors freely, without wondering in the back of your mind… “does he know me? Is he going to set me up or call the police?”
I have a good repoire with all my neighbors. They know “the truth” instead of what some flyer says.

Handled properly, this could become big. Start with one (or a few) plaintiff’s and begin discovery. Once documents are obtained (the evidence) will find other people who need to to be added as plaintiff’s and new additions (additional complaints) to the original complaint.

People love to talk about others on sites like that. What do you bet there is a lot we can use.

mh- you are correct. People (even the ones you meet and they seem nice) can turn into vindictive haters at the drop of the hat. When my son was arrested the rumor in the neighborhood were absolutely crazy! Picture this a barely 19 yr old young man, a fifty something woman. and an 80 something women (lived in the same house for 40 yrs) the young man lived there for the majority of his life – but all of the sudden (I was not there but neighbors told me) our house became a CP manufacturing home where we had children imprisoned and were producing CP (my son was not even charged with that for goodness sake) but this was discussed at a Homeowners association meeting! The discussion was about how to get us out! lol My mother owns her home and has been there longer than any of those asses! lol Oh and I forgot the gay part…they also discussed that my son and his friend down the street were gay and so the CP house was a gay child molesting CP producing ring! It was unbelievable! Can you imagine what the talk would be like on the ND app?

Sites like Nextdoor.com foster rumors just like that Karen. Because they exclude the Registered Citizen AND anyone who lives at that address, gives rise to a “need to know” just to see how many civil law suits should/could be filed. I am sure Florida is not the only state where this happens. A suit like this is filed in the federal court as Nextdoor.com HQ is in California. I wonder if Nexdoor.com can be held liable for their members posts??

I’m sorry, but what the heck is Nextdoor? Never heard of it. And actually, I deleted all of my social media. Besides it being an enormous waste of time, it was found in light of these Facebook proceedings, that these companies are using our data for nefarious purposes. So as an RSO, that’s an even better reason NOT to use social media. Yeah, I enjoyed seeing what my friends and family were doing, but it gets old after a while. I’d rather just give my number to someone and say, hey, just text me LOL. But anytime there’s something to fight, I’m all for it. Great letter as usual Gail.

I found this in their eligibility requirements:

“If you are under 13 years old (or any older age of consent required to use social media services where you live), do not use our services or provide any data to us. Convicted sex offenders, including registered sex offenders, and their households are not eligible for Nextdoor accounts; and we may also deny other account registrations we think would harm a Nextdoor neighborhood.”

So why even allow minors to use a website that is obviously aimed towards homeowners? Also, they automatically assume a registrant or their family/household member wants to do harm to a neighbor! More than likely, it is just the opposite.

A broader point, as more and more so-called social websites deny registered citizens to join, they are only compounding the isolation we are already subject to. Nobody wants us integrated back into society, no matter the lip service rendered.

@JZ – They allow minors on the site because minors buy things and encourage their parents to do the same. Note the “Advertise” link at the bottom of the main web page. Nextdoor.com is a business, looking to make money. They are looking to use fear and curiosity re: neighbors to bring consumers to the table.

The most likely reason is, they do not want us logging in and seeing what they are saying about us, such as getting together and posting flyers about us in the area. They did that to me once and I laughed when it caused one of them that was trying to sell their house, to not be able to sell their house due to no one wanting to live near an offender lol Now that was justice.

I was not able to join Nextdoor because a registered citizen lives in our home. Based on what I’ve heard, the busybody that started it may have done so for the sole purpose to gossip about our registered resident. See how they take way the voices of those branded by the Vatican controlled system?

We’ve lived in our home 16 years and nothing has ever happened or ever will. The woman who started Nextdoor has lived here around 3 years. She came in not knowing us or hearing about any trouble concerning our resident registrant. People like this are what makes neighborhoods sour from fear and making trouble where there is none. If we could live further out in a more rural area we would just to escape all the “christian” hypocrites in this neighborhood.

I think the reason they don’t allow any household resident of the same dwelling is so you can’t see the gossip and therefore can’t educate people. The system is very antichrist and exists solely to further disconnection and isolation, to maintain the conquer and divide status quo and to fill corporate owned prisons with slave labor so the 1% can continue to exist without lifting a finger to work for their money. And they do love torture, it’s in their sick psychotic dna.

They’ve created all this chaos. I recently read that the FBI has been putting a lot of the “illegal” pics and vids out there. I’d bet they originated all of it. And they have the satanic nerve to call others “sick.” #smh

Furthermore, we paid a lot of money to a forensic specialist. Every time we asked that the sender of “illegal” materials be tracked so we can find out who they are and take them to court, we were given various dodgy answers. I kept saying if they can track recipients they can track senders. These were ALWAYS awkward moments in the conversation.

They KNOW who is putting this stuff out there. They can stop it but they aren’t. Don’t you want to know why? Same reason American soldiers are guarding poppy fields in Afghanistan to prevent the locals from burning the fields….💰

Also, look in the phone book and count how many attorneys are in it. Attorneys are making the laws that keep their buddies in business.

Side note…. I watched a judge make the argument that if there was no one looking at “illegal” content, it wouldn’t exist. Did people drive cars before they were built? Did books get read before they were written? Psychotic logic at best.

Another argument that is utterly mindblowing is the idea that every time an “illegal” pic or vid is viewed the victim is again victimized. Do the World Trade Towers fall every time someone views pics and vids of 9/11? Does a car accident happen again every time a person looks at pics and vids of the accident? It’s the most profound arrogance and ignorance that comes up this psychotic drivel.

The sad thing is that some in society still have the “need” to discriminate, and the government has silently declared that sex offenders can be treated (mistreated) as social lepers of our times. Anything to make themselves feel superior to someone else, by making the false claim that it’s to protect children. When Michigan actually studied recidivism and found that among sex offenders it is less than 1%, they did start granting more paroles. However, the legislators refuse to use verifiable facts like that to fix the laws. If it can’t get them votes for the next election, they just don’t mind lying to the public.

When a social media company establishes a neighborhood specific venue, and that portal gets established in the neighborhood where you live, and it excludes anyone for any reason, that is biased exclusion.

Would you think it OK to exclude certain races just because it’s a “private” company? What about excluding singles and only allowing married couples in? Where does the bias end? Every neighborhood has a clique that usually involves neighbors being oppressed and harassed for various reasons. Who is OK to exclude?

        FYI…ignorance is not bliss.

They claim that police agencies and other government agencies require them to bar sex offenders from the site. If this is true, then they are complicit in allowing government to repress freedom of speech, which is a violation of the First Amendment.

So, while the site itself is not violating the First Amendment, the government contracts are violating the rights of sex offenders and their families/friends/roommates.

That depends on their response for your removal from the site. If they remove you for a reason that violates a lawful right, they open the door for litigation against their company. If they just remove you with reason, not much you can do. BUT, if they give you a reason in writing and that reason breaches a law, they open themselves up for litigation.

I live in Houston, Texas and the HOA for my subdivision in Brunswick Place uses Nextdoor.com to harass people. I have had the neighbors kid(s) throw trash and bricks in the yard and near my home. There are adults on my street who stand at a distance and harass me. How is any of this behavior by them neighborly. What all this so-called tracking boils down to is the police and neighbors following you everywhere trying hard to provoke you. I cause no issues and stay to myself because you can’t trust people.
Suing Nextdoor.com is the only option and I’m in agreement that a class action is what’s needed. For years I have wondered who has been vandalizing my vehicles (scratches, BB gun cracks to the windshield, missing items and flat tires).
The partnership of police and neighbors results in harassment. The police use their surveillance technology to help these neighborhoods follow and harass sex offenders. Let get started.

I received an invitation from my HOA to join and ‘Nextdoor’ turned me down. Must be run by a bunch of “do-gooders”. I would gladly compare my background and reputation with any of “Nextdoor’s” employees. They are not about to let that happen.

Theyare not violating the first amendment. The first amendment involves the govt violating your right. A private organization may certainly put limitations or rules in place that curtail or limit speech. It is unfortunate, but thats the way it is.

I would very much like to join. I am the wife of a registered sex offender. His offense is considered a misdemeanor in Georgia and he should not have to register according to Georgia laws, only felony charges are required. However he was convicted in CA and as a misdemeanor has to registered for no reason anyone can give him, in Georgia. I joined Nextdoor.com along with my son and my husband when we bought our home. Apparently there was some wire crossed and my husband was still showing our apt address, even though he notified the department we’d moved. So this year, lo and behold, he registers again and next thing you know my Nextdoor.com account sends me an email to me, my son and my husband. No reason as to why we were no longer allowed on the website, but we knew why. It’s ridiculous and I believe according to the Supreme Court decision you referenced, it’s illegal. Nextdoor.com is not a website for kids, anyone under 18.

I would love to join any formal complaint or lawsuit against nextdoor.com. This platform has allowed people with self-serving intentions take over my HOA. This site has the most shortsighted and unfair free speech practices, and to add insult to injury they have no phone number or any real way to report issues. People within my HOA use this site to promote lies and misinformation which has led to more than one serious lawsuit, along with mounting evidence of HOA board maleficence, and has enabled and emboldened active verbal and in some cases physical harassment.

Our current BOD and their rabid supporters, have effectively shut down debate, using nextdoor.com as their own private little Pravda, a platform of disinformation and bullying. I have reported the leads (nextdoor.com group administrators who control access to group membership and posts on the platform), one of which is the current HOA president (and the others leads who are all his avid supporters) on several occasions, for breaking community guidelines, only to have them retaliate by posting my personal information online. It has led to even worse outcomes, as the current BOD uses the normal apathy and confusion that is endemic in any HOA, to create an illusion that they have a consensus, when they don’t even have a majority.

A number of concerned HOA members, including myself have, now twice, went through a lot of trouble to rigorously follow the CA state laws and our own bylaws for getting the required number of signatures to force a recall election of the BOD, only to have the petitions, completely ignored both times. The BOD then had an attorney send out letters to the entire association, stating that the two petitions were denied because there was evidence that some of the signatures we obtained were forged or coerced; however, when we contacted the BOD asking they provide us with the names of those deemed forged/coerced, we were referred to the attorney who wrote the letter. Upon contacting this attorney, he personally told us that it was not his (nor his firms) legal recommendation to deny the recall signatures; rather, it was specifically the BOD who made the determination and instructed him to write the legal letter. So back and forth we went with the BOD and “their” (ours too btw) lawyer, using semantics, and a legal conundrum of plausible deniability to completely ignore our legal petition to force a recall election. The BOD president then went on nextdoor.com explicitly stating “our” attorney provided legal reasons for denying the petitions among other explicit lies and misrepresentations. The leads have also posted confidential emails of mine and those who signed the recall petitions, in addition to other documents, with their own leading accusations that give the impression that these documents were evidence of some kind of crimes or unethical activity. I have had to file complaints to several agencies to report that fact that my personal emails were somehow obtained and then posted publicly, and to my knowledge, they are still posted, with these accusations and misrepresentations. This is arguably illegal activity, and may also be a case for libel, slander and defamation, which I would pursue if I had the resources. I filed complaints to nextdoor.com regarding my personal emails, and information being posted along with the individuals’ names who I know posted them, I made similar complaints against the same individuals for posting private info of other people they have vilified and victimized and to date I have had no one at nextdoor.com address the issue, or remove the items in question. It is beyond the pale!

Things have taken a turn for the surreal and hostile, with the utterly insane actions taken this past week, when during our HOA’s monthly general meeting, the BOD nominated the president (and nextdoor.com lead) to be the CEO of our HOA’s country club. A paying position, a high paying position at that although exactly how much this person will be paid or what other benefits he will receive have been hidden and the BOD refuses to provide the info. This individual has been out of work for almost two years, and has no experience in the running of a golf country club, but the BOD and his avid supporters all applaud this turn of events as the best thing to happen to our club and HOA in 30 years. It is worth noting many of these ditto heads are unemployed themselves; either retired, receiving disability or are not employed for whatever sundry reasons. They all appear to spend most of their days on nextdoor.com in this bubble of lies and misinformation vilifying and censoring anyone who disagrees with them or even asking for clarifying information on their outrageous claims, and championing all the sycophants who think hiring this man is a great idea.

I know my community is not the only one negatively affected by nextdoor.com because at two of the most recent Agoura Hills city council meetings I attended, all the people who signed up to speak and addresses their respective controversial issues affecting other HOAs and neighborhoods invariably made reference to nextdoor.com being their single source of info on those subjects and/or how they came to be involved or impassioned about the issues at hand. Nextdoor.com does not understand and/or care about how they have emboldened the kind of rancor and confusion spreading out in various communities, that have made mine untenable and undesirable. Their influence is having the exact opposite effect of their purported mission to build community and encourage civil debate, instead they are instilling the worst tendencies of tribalism and incivility in nearly any discussion outside the banal realm of garage sales and lost pets. They must be reined in and held to account.

I’m so sorry to hear all the crap you’ve had to go through so far. I feel your pain. You said you couldn’t afford an attorney, have you tried legal aid?

Also, what they are doing is harassment and a police report can be filed against the perpetrators. I’m also thinking that Nextdoor could also be included in the harassment charge for allowing the harassment to occur through their website.

I believe that you can file a restraining order against the BOD and Nextdoor. I’m pretty sure Nextdoor doesn’t want to be listed in a restraining order.

There’s also the bylaws of the BOD. If you can get a hold of the bylaws and find all of the ways they are blatantly ignoring the bylaws, you can force a change in BOD they cannot ignore. Make sure you have your copy of the petition signed by all who signed. And every communication, dates and times of meetings where you were ignored, people in attendance. Write down everything from now on. Write names, dates, times of everything to back you up. I guarantee that they aren’t.

If worse comes to worse, contact the media. For quickest way to get the word out, local or national televised news is your best bet. To cover all your bases, contact as many media outlets that you can.

          Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. I did file a criminal complaint just last week, with the Federal Internet Crime task force and I am doing the same with the Los Angeles County DA, that has a cyber crime dept. Both are free. I want to first know how they came into possession with my personal emails and what other info they may have, as that may indeed be a crime. In any event, no matter how they came into possessions, posting these things publicly without my knowledge or permission, is illegal so hopefully having law enforcement, fed and local poking around, will be enough to shake them out of their brazen chicanery and also wake up others in the community not aware of how these jokers are using HOA dues, and the “power” of their position.

I found https://www.cai-glac.org/ online who can hopefully offer or recommend some legal aide. Two of our old BOD members, who have been also victimized, have had a long standing lawsuit against the current BOD for breach of fiduciary duties, but their funds and gumption are running out. As I collect real hard irrefutable evidence hopefully even criminal charges that stick, I will file that restraining order if I need to but I also want to either join the old BOD’s lawsuit or start another.

Honestly if this were not in my own backyard, I would not believe it was even possible in the 21st Century, in the United States, in So Cal for crissakes! It’s like if the Marx Brothers made a Kafkaesque/Orwellian black comedy. I will try to focus on the absurdity of it all with all the mirth I can muster and not let my baser emotions prevail. I will leave you all with this: I truly feel like social media, and the internet in general, which had and hopefully still has the ability to transform the public sphere for the good has demonstrated itself to be the worse thing to happen in man’s evolution since the bubonic plague and that aint hyperbole.

God Bless and Happy New Year!

You can fill out that form but it will do you no good. The best medicine is to work hard to get everyone you know to stop using the service. That will kill them. Also advertise in your area to inform them of their practices and encourage as many people as you can to stop using the service. Also notify their sharholders. This will have a big effect. FInd their insurance carriers and make a formal complaint to them. Enought complaints and they will change.

Our name is Keith and Carolyn we are residents of Texas former residents of Florida and we are currently in a Pre-Suit Litigation issue with NEXTDOOR for Discrimination and First Amendment Right Violations. My wife who is not a Registered Citizen was removed after 3 years of being an Active Member on the site. Their argument response states “We understand there are many people on the offender registries who do not pose a threat to their neighbors. Unfortunately, we have no way to reliably distinguish between those who do and those who do not. In addition, Nextdoor has partnerships with more than 500 police departments, city governments and other public agencies, and they have made clear to us that a no exceptions policy with regard to the households of registered sex offenders is a necessary precondition for these partnerships.” It is important to note here that just because Nextdoor agreed to the no exceptions policy terms of these agencies to get them to be a participant in their business site, it still in no means give them a “get out of jail free card” to violate any rights of any citizen, especially a non- registered citizen in our great nation. These agreements were based on business decisions to “get another customer” (the governmental agencies) and by doing so they have openly agreed to violate First Amendments Rights not only from a Registered Citizen standpoint, but as non-Registered Citizen stand point as well.
We are currently gathering information from others who have been removed from Nextdoor because we believe this has become a nationwide removal problem against families of Registered Citizens. When the family is being judged by guilty of association and has done nothing wrong, it opens grounds for litigation and relief, and all must stand up for the First Amendment Right to deter the Discrimination issue this presents to all our households.
If you are ready to stand up and tell your story and be part of productive cause that protects your rights and family’s rights over issues as this, please contact us.

I’m interested in talking with you about ND suspending bullies for just a few days and then reinstating them. I have 100% slam dunk libel case against a member on ND who was suspended but after 4 days he was allowed back. The lies he wrote bother me and I’ve talked to one lead who has been frustrated with ND and several members who just keep getting to return and continue to be nasty. What if one person who is attacked with lies is emotionally fragile and takes his/her life? Wouldn’t the bully and ND would be accountable?

Kinda makes a person wonder if the real intent behind Nextdoor is to provide a platform for this very thing. The greedy, hoarding control freaks behind the laws have been using divide and conquer tactics for millennia, pitting neighbor against neighbor. That’s why they invented labels in the first place, and it makes it easier for them to categorize and organize their chattel, which is how they see us, NOT who or what we really are, which is the exact same level of creation as them. Fact.

Excerpt- The Secret Destiny of America, p138-139 by Manly P. Hall:

“The Greek law giver Solon declared that in the ideal state laws are few and simple, because they have been derived from certainties. In the corrupt state, laws are many and confused, because they have been derived from uncertainties. These corrupt laws are like the web of a spider which catch small insects but permits the stronger creatures to break through and escape.

Where there are many laws there is much lawlessness, and men come to despise and ridicule the restraints that are imposed upon freedom of action. Corrupt laws, resulting from efforts to amend inadequate legislation by further inadequate legislation, reveal a general ignorance of right and wrong. Where such ignorance exists the ideal function of democracy is impossible, and liberty degenerates into license.

The half-truth is the most dangerous form of a lie, because it can be defended in part by incontestable logic. Wherever the body of learning is broken up, the fragments become partial truths. We live in a day of partial truth; and until we remedy the condition we must suffer the inevitable consequences of division.”—-

They created false religions with intentional misinterpretation of spiritual allegories and symbolism and published their VERSION of SCRIPTS-ures by which to rule the morals of the masses. In doing so, they created a plague of hypocrisy due to judgement against people who the same false powers forcibly label as being “criminals”…those less-than others who have not [yet] been caught up in their ever expanding web of laws.

Their own version of the bible warns about the consequences of judgement but humanity, especially in the US, has been so programmed and conditioned to judge and condemn others they can’t see their folly, not their own or that of those who have been perpetrating fraudulent authority for far too long.

“The glory which is built upon a lie soon becomes a most unpleasant incumbrance. …How easy it is to make people believe a lie, and how hard it is to undo that work again!”
–Autobiographical dictation, 2 December 1906. Published in Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume 2
      (University of California Press, 2013)

Mark Twain was a loyal friend to Nikola Tesla who wanted to give humanity so many wonderful gifts to make their lives easier. The same control freaks ended Tesla, took his work and make us pay for what they have “allowed” us to have. I never heard or read about Tesla in school and yet he was the real genius behind radio and AC/DC electric current while Edison was electrocuting elephants and dogs in THEIR attempt to discredit Tesla. Same false authorities that keep making more and more laws took Tesla from us too.🤬

The Force truly is awakening. I feel we are rapidly heading to the big AH HA moment because so many more people every day are getting caught in the big expanding net and so many haven’t done anything at all, haven’t harmed another soul, and people are realizing the horrific atrocities the liars from the beginning have instigated. Just believe and watch it happen.

Check out Princeton’s Global Consciousness Project to learn how powerful are our thoughts and intentions and how we each contribute to the mass global consciousness that some call “God” or “The Force”…by any name it’s the same. Those in false authority have been/are using this knowledge to their own benefit. We/Consciousness/The Force, has been asleep but not anymore.👁👊🏼👀

NextDoor is a horrible site. Freedom of speech, diversity of thought are not allowed. You end up having one little cliche of nasty bullies that gang up and attack anyone they disagree with. I honestly never knew most of my neighbors because I live in rural area, but after seeing how so many of them act, I want nothing to do with them. In fact, my doctor referred my to physical therapy and I chose not to go in my own town because the people there are so unlikable and one of them that often shoots his mouth off is a physical therapist.

Yesterday I posted a simply link to factual information, and within minutes the same usual bullies all jumped in making asinine remarks and personally attacking me. One particularly rude person posted a link to a website to self-help for schizophrenics, implying that I was one. Just unbelievable.

Then I wake up in the morning and the nextdoor nazis have banned my account. They don’t even bother to tell you that you are banned. No email. Not even a message when you try to login. Another neighbor told me he got banned the same way and it was because “a bunch of people (likely the same group of little bullies) complained”.

I appealed twice saying that my freedom of speech was infringed on and asked my lead to respond to my complaint but it was useless. When I get back on I will have a lot to say and I don’t care if I’m permanently suspended.

That’s their biggest way they screw with you, when you have been suspended you lose all access to the site so you can’t even talk to people on there that are on your side.
We need to organize and write all the companies that place ads on their newsfeed and threaten boycotts. That would be quicker, easier, cheaper, more effective than trying to sue.
Threatening cancellation is the thing now, use their own medicine on them! Get their sponsors to cancel their advertising with them.

I have just been banned for the third time in 6 months, with no explanation why. Any time I post or reply to anything, the same half dozen or so bullies attack me, call me names, and are just plain ugly. They do it to other women too, so recently, I started reporting these people. I never see any of them go away, nor do I get any response from Next door, but for them to instead ban me.

Is there any way to reach a real person there? The only thing I have is their “support@” email address, but I get no support whatsoever. This is beyond frustrating!…Does anyone know why they allow this bullying of minorities, women, and liberal leaning members? It’s just wrong! It’s as if it is a trump property. …smh

I googled who owns nextdoor.com , it list key people like the ceo which has a face book page that clearly states she works there. Maybe post to all key people on their facebook pages would get something moving. Im not mentioning names but a lot of the co-founders are listed and openly have facebook, let them know how you feel.

I don’t think they care. We need to get the companies that place ads and pay them money to stop doing business with nextdoor. THAT WOULD GET THEIR ATTENTION. Organize a letter-writing campaign.
          How do we do that?
They think they are untouchable and can treat people however they feel like and I really don’t like bullies!
          LET’S DO IT!

I had the same experience. I was banned because I happen to be a Democrat in a community of MAGA types. They goaded me into discussing politics, then the entire group of Magas filed complaints against me. Diversity of opinions is forbidden on Next door.com.

          David Chapman,

There very well be “right wing bias” when it comes to laws and crimes but don’t sit there patting yourself on the back as if your liberal buddies are any better. Liberals are bias about EVERYTHING. So much for your “tolerance” motto, eh?
Neither political party is going to be open minded about sex offenses. Period! Especially the liberals who think everyone with a penis is a rapist.
As for the “right wingers”, just call them out on their wonderful Christianity. Ask them where all the forgiveness and redemption in Jesus is. I guess they reserve that for petty “crimes” like running a red light. But don’t get too comfortable with the liberals. They’ll turn on you faster than a rabid dog. And no, you cannot defend their actions. It’s a fact.

I disagree, strongly. Nextdoor is most definitely leftist, to the degree of Marxism. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck….its a San Francisco liberal. Hard to live on streets strewn with crap and hypodermics.

It is amazing how hard it is for politically minded folks to admit the part of the political spectrum they swear fealty to does not give a damn about them.

Right wingers love “tough on crime” laws and “zero tolerance” policies and their perceived moral superiority. Left wingers love “justice” for “victims” and will tolerate tough on crime when it advances the agenda of a chosen minority. So both sides greatly benefit from sex offense registry and related laws.

However, what are the worst states in the US for Registered persons? Conservative states like Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana top the list. The so-called bible belt. Are you aware that the left leaning SCOTUS justices have often voted against SOR laws? Right leaning folks tend to be more defensive about these facts.

Stop pretending the pols you blindly swear fealty to care about you. You can meet them and they will smile and tell you they will take your words under advisement, then do the same routine to your opponent.

While this is a political issue, meaning causes division by causing people to pick a side, it is not really a “leftist” anything. The word “leftist” is just an aspect of the fraud system.

There is NO left or right wing anything. It’s the head that controls the pseudo wings, constantly flapping them about, creating division and distraction from what the head is doing.

The majority of humans, mostly Americans, don’t know the real history and who is ultimately the head. Yes, all roads lead to Rome, but the identities of the ancient controllers are jews. They’ve told the world they’re “God’s chosen”, as if “God” is a racist bigot, and that the world belongs to them.

Then they made “anti-semetism” a bad thing, while they create all sorts of divisions around the planet intended to cause people to fight amongst themselves, including all racial divisions except for their own, inducing judgement on categorized humans, such as “registered citizens”.

Hitler was actually a hero. He knew who were the parasite jewish bankers and about their NWO goal of world dominance. People don’t know just how much of the world is owned by Lord Rothschild and family. It’s in double digit trillions of $$. Hitler tried to stop it and that’s why not only his German people supported him, also Austria, origin of the Rothschilds, and other countries supported him.

There was a manmade famine event in Ukraine prior to Hitler that killed millions of christians. Research The Holodomer: The Jewish genocide of Christian Ukrainians. You’ve never heard about this one. It was this event that inspired Hitler to go after the Jews. These people didn’t call themselves Jews till around 1860, after the mud floods, another even caused by the jews.

The jews are the NWO engineers. They run Hollywood, they’re running our government, they’re behind the current genocidal injections. They infiltrated the vatican. They’ve sacrificed babies for God knows how long. Adrenachrome is a jewish practice of violently abusing babies and children and then harvesting the adrenal filled blood for a high that is said to be like no other, and is said to be anti-aging. These parasites are writing laws, like “SO” laws, for profit.

The word “jewelry” originated with them. They own all the big jewelry stores…diamond mines and so much more. They have no regard for life and there is evidence to support they aren’t originally from Earth. Research the origins of rh negative blood. There is no earthly origin for this blood factor. WHY?

This is why they are never prosecuted for their crimes. They wrote laws to govern the “goyim” that do not apply to them. Based on evidence that has surfaced, they are the original pedofiles and they’ve created a system and laws to persecute and profit from their proliferation of what they call “perversions”.

This is why we’re hearing the cry of anti-semetism so much lately. The evidence is overwhelming, Lost history surfacing, and they know their time is short…we KNOW who they are now, and we know the genocide jab is the next phase.

That just happened to me…everyone Was being so mean and crazy but when I said it’s OK if we disagree just be kind and no name calling but yet my things get reported and now I’m banned because I don’t believe the same way they do. It’s crazy it’s almost like they are dictatorships and they are Nazis with their way of thinking is the only way to thinking if you don’t think the way they do, they ban you. I would love to come up with a different app like Nextdoor that basically states no discrimination I don’t like the name calling but everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. I took screenshots of all the items that were reported of mine just because I disagreed with someone so I would imagine the same person who banned me has the same beliefs system as the other. I would hate for them to sit on a jury because they would use their emotions for decisions. Absolutely ridiculous!

No one should even desire to become a member of an organization like Nextdoor anyway. They aren’t worth the trouble or expense of a lawsuit. Unfortunately, they DO have the right to pick and choose who they accept as members. It’s called freedom of association, and the union busting Supreme Court that we have today is not going to take that right away from them. A class action discrimination lawsuit only works where you have a recognized protected class, and registered offenders are NOT such a class. The better course would be to create a NEW social network geared toward neighborhood interaction that DOESN’T discriminate against anyone. Competition is a great tool for persuasion.

Yes I think we have figured out that the bullies are the administrators of ND in Venice. I reported at least 20 of their comments and also wrote a letter to admin and I was banned, not them. So I believe the bullies are the admins of ND.

The leads can only do so much. The real problem is the organization is run by left-wing liberals from their main office in San Francisco. I believe their support “agents”, the people that can suspend your account for violating community guidelines, have got to be first-year washouts from Berkley. Their guidelines are vague and they interpret them to suit their agenda. I never deal with a lead I email support@nextdoor.com to find out why I was suspended.
We need to go after their sponsors. I’M UP FOR THAT!

You have no actionable cause because you’ve paid exactly nothing to be a member.
The company receives no taxpayer money so, again you have no remedy in a court of law
If they’re managed, moderated & populated by racist profilers then why do you return to their site?
They have the same 1st Amendment right to offend that you do. This is their private forum: Do you pay their rent? Have you paid anything to join their forum?

Their private forum, their rules. If their religious, political & social values differ from
yours find a forum or network of like-minded people and WALK AWAY. Over time they’ll achieve the reputation they deserve. They sound repulsive! I’m so glad I researched them before joining.

How about if they use your personal information, without your consent, by mail (not email) to get people to join? The postmark is from the other side of the country, I would say that is a federal crime that would hold up in court.

You can’t walk away from them. Once you open an account, you are in there for life. You can delete your posts and comments but they keep your personal info and not-really-private “private” messages forever. They won’t delete your account if you request that; they lie openly and persecute dissenters. They kept my account after I defied them but blocked my access to it and there’s not a darned thing I can do. Anyone want to start a class-action lawsuit for invasion of privacy, data hoarding, violation of their own terms of service, etc? I AM IN FOR THAT!!!!

How did you get an account in the first place? I tried to get an account to see what was being said about me. (Because of the new issues I was having after nextdoor came to my hood)

As soon as I made the account and entered my address it popped up saying ” This address is not eligible for an account”. Nextdoor automatically blocks all known registered addresses so did they just miss yours somehow?
