Goals for 2024 are an extension of the 2023 goals as we Take it to the Next Level:

  1. Seek relief from the residency restrictions for those in need of long-term or short-term care, physical health rehabilitation, and substance abuse treatment centers. This includes compassionate release from the registry for those suffering from dementia, physical disabilities or terminal illness.
  2. Pursue additional legal challenges on municipal levels (City and County).
  3. Train more County Coordinators to ensure local support is available throughout the state.
  4. Organize Lobby Day events in Tallahassee and seek a champion to sponsor bills.
  5. Build a Speakers team to deliver an informative presentation to legislators and public groups.
  6. Create a national campaign with the shared leadership of other organizations to identify, fund and facilitate a nationwide messaging campaign demonstrating the partnership of organizations that collectively represent over one-million citizens, their families and associates.

Join a Focus Group –  In order to accomplish the above goals, we are looking for both leaders and supportive, interested members to join one of the Focus Group Teams that will assist in tasks associated to the goals.
