Call To Action: Help get support from other Human Rights Organizations
Our Change.org petition has broken 3,500 signatures. We would like to get to 5,000. Not only because more numbers is a greater indication of more people thinking the registry is a human rights violation, but because we want more people to read the actual petition! People who are not informed about the registry may not have a true understanding of how destructive and counter productive it is.
For that reason we are looking for 5 volunteers to take on part of the below list and contact the human rights organizations asking them to support our petition. The task is simple; one-by-one, contact the twenty organizations by visiting their website and either filling out their online contact form or writing to them via the email address on their contact us page.
The message should be something to the effect of, “I am writing to request your organization’s support of our petition to investigate a human rights crisis. The petition can be found at http://Change.org/FAC-humanrightsforall. I would be grateful if you could share this petition with your members or anyone at your organization who might be interested in our cause.”
It should not take more than an hour to get through all 20. If you would like to volunteer for this task, please reply in the comments indicating which Group you would like to take, so we can be sure that all 5 are covered.

Hi, count me in please!
Which group will you be sending the emails to?
Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D or Group E?
Dear FAC: Maybe we should point out that the US Probation Office and Pretrial Services are implementing a mentorship program to help staff identify as whatever they want and get counseling for it while being paid by our tax dollars. Meanwhile, we all are compelled to identify as sex offenders under penalty of prosecution if we don’t.

I agree and you guys (and gals) are doing wonderful work. My wife and I have pitched in what money we could add. We both have both added he links to all of the groups we are involved in. Would be nice if we could get the needle to 10,000. May seem like a lot but its a goal worth striving for!!
After work tonight my wife and I both will try to target five different groups each. We have also placed links in twitter, other groups we are involved with, facebook, and other social medias we or her use as well. Lets push the needle!
Thanks so much!!!
Volunteer, Elizabeth, will be working on Group C.
Reminder to all, please let us know what you are working on so we do not duplicate effort and we ensure all Human Rights groups are being notified. Thank you. membership@floridaactioncommittee.org
Don’t forget to write prison reentry groups. I’ll throw three in the hat myself:
Jumpstart Ministries https://www.jumpstartvision.org/
Fresh Start / Shield: https://www.freshstartvisions.org/
Soteria Community Development Corp. https://www.soteriacdc.org
I’m sure our advocates in other states can think of their own local groups and ministries as well….
