Australia: Grandmother is now a convicted felon after outing a child sex predator
A Queensland woman who outed a convicted child sex predator to her small regional community has copped a criminal conviction for her actions.
Calliope grandmother Maxine Davey was convicted of one count of unlawful stalking in Gladstone Magistrates Court last month.
And yet the 50 or so incidents I have happen to me, law enforcement tells me “File a report online, we are not coming out for that”. Even when I had 3 bullets shot through my windows. They advised me that if you do not have a known suspect, you have to file online.
Kind of funny they would say that since the neighbor down the street had her car broken into. She had no idea who did it but despite what they told me, 4 officers arrived promptly at her house and spent two and a half hours investigating and even came to out house and requested our video from our camera. We didn’t answer the door but they left a business card. We promptly tossed it in the trash when they left.
“Sadly the only way that we can know that an offender is not offending is if they’re in jail,” she added to A Current Affair.
And the only way we can know you’re not out stalking people is if you’re in jail lady.
What comes around goes around.
If only the USA would do this.
