Revamping the FAC Website & Helping Fellow Registrants
Weekly Update 2017-01-17
Dear Members and Advocates,
The Florida Action Committee will start 2017 with a revamped website. For those who have visited www.floridaactioncommittee.org<http://www.floridaactioncommittee.org> since yesterday, you may have noticed a subtle change to the design of the site. What’s more important is what is going on behind the scenes. Our new site will be easier for visitors to navigate, easier for others to find online and as we begin re-organizing the content, access to resources and research will be easier to find.
Some special thanks goes out to our webmaster, Kacy, who maintains the FAC site and provides services and hosting as a contribution to our cause. He also provides the re-registration text reminder<https://floridaactioncommittee.org/new-registration-reminder-service/> as a FREE service to members. His service to FAC is a reminder that there are many ways you can help our cause and that time and skills are as important as money. We have a lot of very qualified and capable individuals who got caught up in this mess. Helping FAC with your time and skills; whether it’s research, writing, technical work, manning phones, etc. is a great way to support our effort. We are always looking for volunteers.
There are also many ways you can help each other! If you utilize a service already, why not help a very qualified and capable registrant? Since many of our members were forced into their own businesses, we have a large network of registrant-owned businesses who would be grateful for your support. Whether it’s IT, a website for your company, printing services or labor, why not help out someone in your situation, which, in turn, helps us all out? In the coming weeks we will be adding a classified-style business referral page to our site. If you are looking for a landscaper, for example, there is a good chance that someone in your county would appreciate the work. It will be completely unrelated to our cause and the services will have nothing to do with FAC. With thousands of people in our network and visiting our site; it’s just one of the ways we can help our members.
Sincerely,
The Florida Action Committee
