Sensationalism in headlines spurs false fears
A Texas FOX News affiliate just posted a story with the following headline, “Ingham County looking to charge 4 sex offenders after verification operation”.
What the headline could have just as easily read was, “97% of registered sex offenders found to be compliant with laws”, because only 3 out of 114 checked in the Ingham County operation were suspected to not be living where registered (and one registered late).
Unfortunately, with a headline like that, who’d read the story?

It’s all about the MONEY AND LIES !!! If the TRUTH was made public by the “Government”, Then the “, Public” would see that 97% of ExOffenders are NOT MONSTERS like the Police and Media try to make them out to be !!!. But, Nobody cares when we’re all made out as “Monsters Hiding In The Bushes” waiting to “Snatch” a child !!!. . So everyone that’s able to vote, Votes for all the UNNEEDED laws !! Because what the general public doesn’t realize is, REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS DONT REOFFEND !!!!!!!. 99% Of Sex Crimes are committed by PEOPLE THAT’S NOT ON A REGISTERY !!. Sex Offenders are being PUNISHED for crimes that others are commiting !! A Sex Crime is bad But 97% learned their lesson !! And should be allowed (as our CONSTITUTION says) to move on after serving their time ! Just like every other EX-Con !! Making all these New laws to PUNISH someone after they have “Paid Their Debt” is WRONG !!. The real truth is, Children are SAFER AROUND 99% OF SEX OFFENDERS !! Safer than someone that hasn’t been caught yet !!!!. Punishment YES !!!! A lifetime of Punishment with New laws and restrictions added almost monthly ??? HECK NO !!!!!. We’ve paid our debt way more than ANY other type of Criminal, Now please let us live our life in peace,Like Every other Criminal !!!
Just today posted on wftv.com they showed a predator sting in oceola and they openely stated that most of the men had no prior convictions. Imagine that. I guess the laws didnt work for these men, but wait they werent registered offenders so no. They laws are to target offenders. They havent found a way to prevent and punish crimes the 90% of offenses that are by individuals not in the system.
