Dennis Hastert released from Prison

Hypocrite, former Speaker of the House and second-in-line to the presidency, Dennis Hastert has been released from prison after about a year of incarceration.

Hastert was convicted of banking crimes for having not reported close to a million dollars of cash withdrawn and used as “hush money” payments to victims, who he sexually abused while he was a school wrestling coach.

Hastert will not have to register as a sex offender. He will be allowed to return to his home in Illinois because he is not subject to any residency restrictions. Despite having molested many young boys, he is free to enter parks. Once off probation, he will be free to travel wherever he wants without giving notice. He will be free.

I am not familiar with this story – why was he given such a free pass? Was he convicted of the molestation?

No – he was convicted of violating banking laws. The statute of limitations on the molestation had expired. Had he not been so politically connected they would have pursued the sexual crimes a bit more, wouldn’t you think?

Even int eh case of a famous person,if the SOL has passed, the government would have been, well, SOL. Look at some of the older BIll Cosby complaints. Why do you think that many states have gone back and evened or even eliminated the statute of limitations se offenses in recent years?

And here I struggle just trying to help my victim, my daughter, get established here in Florida close to my home. I can’t even visit her because of Brevard County distance restrictions. She has to come to my home. I would love to make a comment about this Hastert situation, especially since he was so down on sex offenders…covering up his own actions…while he was still in government, but my comments would probably not pass the ‘freedom of speech’ test so I will just remain silent for the time being.

This pervert is the reason that this registry mess exists in the first place and also serves to illustrate exactly why it is an utter failure.

Dennis Hastert is a sex offender. He will NOT be a Registered Sex Offender however even though his crimes actually had real victims unlike the vast majority listed as Registered Sex Offenders.

There is no justice in America if you can buy your way out of a legal problem. This is yet another example of the hypocrisy that is America.

I was caught in a sting trying to help someone.I had my life destroyed because of the state makes money off of people like me and other’s like me .Why don’t we let people from other countries and states to not come to Fla.for vacation let them know that sex offerenders are not wanted to come to Fl.Let those that are living here stop spending money here buy stuff from other states. We got to come together and help each other like we did back in the sixties for civil rights. We may not March like we did then but if we dont stand up to this injustice we will be treated like we are till we die.
