Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd faces lawsuit
According to clickorlando.com, Grady Judd faces a lawsuit after a man was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography in 2020.
The lawsuit says that there was no evidence of child pornography found during a search warrant.
The plaintiff in the lawsuit had stopped using the phone number suspected in the investigation in 2018. This was about a year before deputies received the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children (NCMEC) tip about the child pornography case.
Hopefully, this lawsuit will cause law enforcement to do their homework before going after innocent people.
Again treating the possession of child pornography as pornography addiction/sexual addiction instead through the prosecution of sex crimes.
The real issue is even if the charges are dropped the charge and arrest will be on his record.
Can a judge order the arrest record sealed or deleted/removed altogether?? 🤔

PS: Why is everyone writing “…. found during a search warrant.”? A search warrant is a paper document. How about “….found during the execution of a search warrant.”?

Now they need to investigate all the fake child predator sting operations this man has also been behind. He’s clearly someone who creates fake cases to try to help his career.
There are so many of these working in our system because our government protects real criminals that work in the system (like this man). They hide behind “qualified immunity”.
Perfect case of using your rights at the right time because you have them regardless of the situation. I pray this gent and his family are paid handsomely for their distress caused by both the Sheriff and the Deputy for their actions here while the LE office smarts from this for a long time afterward. That LE office has long sat on a bully pulpit far too long and wrongfully used it in bad ways to the detriment of those they serve.
You have your right to remain silent and right to ask for an attorney at any time you like when interacting with LE, even during a traffic stop. As other former LE has said in videos posted online, don’t ever talk with LE and to exercise your rights!
