Pinellas Park sex offender camp residents told to move by Tuesday

The people on the sex offender registry who were told by probation officers to live in a wooded area in Pinellas Park are now being told to vacate the camp by this Tuesday, August 15.  The homeless camp that they were told to live in happens to be on Florida Department of Transportation property.

It turns out that Pinellas County is not the only Florida county doing this to registrants on probation who have no place to live, primarily due to residence restrictions.  Hillsborough, Hernando, Manatee, Flagler, Brevard, and Palm Beach Counties are doing the same thing.  FAC members tell us that it is also happening in their counties.

If only residency restrictions and the registry were abolished, none of this would happen. To fix the problem, we need to fix the problem.

      Ben
      Bingo. Right on .
How is it that government calls the publishing of names addresses picture and profiles of the jurors on the indictment of Donald Trump doxxing , harassment, a hit list? But when the very same thing is applied to what they think are sex offenders( most of which there is no victim or proof of that). They call it safety oriented.

Entrapment, plain and simple. Probation says go there and don’t leave or you will be arrested.
State says leave or you will be arrested.
Conclusion, no matter what you do, you will be arrested.

By the way, Dad say you can go to the movies, Mom says No, what do you do?
    * See above, it is a trap.

The same thing happened here in Lee County.
Homeless registrants who were on probation were placed (by probation, with the full knowlege of the sheriff’s department) in a patch of woods off of Veronica Schumaker Blvd for about 4 years.
But, in 2014, they were trespassed.

I am willing to bet that probation is either sending them back to that same spot, or that they have a different spot, but the same policy.

The main problems are that the Salvation Army refuses to help and that the United Way cannot help because their hands are so tied because of the stigma.

The Registry blacklist is obviously hatred sponsored by the government! It tacitly (but transparently) encourages homelessness, exploitation (wage theft, for instance), and acts of brutality from a gullible (and frightened) public.

    This pogrom must END!!!

We have plenty of room on our property if any homeless sex offender wants to camp here.
