Duval school safety officer arrested, accused of enticing minor to engage in sex activity

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A school safety officer is accused of enticing a person under the age of 16 to engage in sexual activity, according to a release from Duval County Public Schools.

XXXXXXX  was arrested Tuesday by the Atlantic Beach Police Department on charges including lewd and lascivious battery—encouraging or enticing a person under the age of 16 to engage in any type of sexual activity, DCPS said.

XXXXXXX  has been with DCPS as a School Safety Officer since Aug. 9, 2011 and was most recently assigned to Fletcher High School.

    Again, I see that the Sex Offender Registry didn’t do anything to protect this minor from – an officer of the law no less. Another ever-growing elephant in the room that people are in denial of the efficacy – or the lack of – SORNA protecting children from predators.

    All the Sex Offender Registry has done was misdirect the public’s vigilance from predators operating in plain sight of their children and upholding the stranger danger myth to keep lawmakers and law enforcement fanning the fear to the ignorant so they can stay in office.

    SORNA is a scam!
