Petition to Declare Public Sex Offender Registration in the United States a Violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)
Today, approximately one-million people in the United States are forced to register as “sex offenders”. The label leads to stigmatization, separation from society, loss of employment, loss of housing and even exposure to violence at the hands of vigilantes. The stigmatization extends to the spouses, children, family, friends, employer and anyone that associates with the registrant. The isolation, shame, stress, fear of violence, loss of income and other psychological effects are experienced by the entire household.
Hello, all! I just found this in my Twitter feed. Here are “scientists” talking about launching an investigation to arrest subjects in an experiment who masturbated to Japanese cartoons.
This makes me so angry, but if I leave a critical comments I’ll look like a “pro child rape” advocate. Here’s the Tweet:

Not seeing anything in the link that proposes arrests.
It’s fair for a publisher to scrutinize how they came to rely on a study that used such material.
Most of these “controversial” studies are only controversial in the sense they come to conclusions people don’t WANT to hear.
Excellent point, Derek!
The study’s conclusions were not controversial. The methodology was. I would not condone it.
People whose main concern is what they look like never change anything and usually look like fools or rogues into the bargain.
I’m not saying this particular tweet is worth putting time and energy into argumentive commentary. tl/dr. But we have to get in the habit of mixing it up on social media in general. Talking to each other is nice just like talking to your own family is nice, but it’s not everything.
We are at religious levels of moral panic. But this is nothing new. Science is not immune to human biases.
I concur with Jacob. Nothing about arrests, just their excuse/explanation for not having the paper available for reading.
Not in the main Tweet. In the comments on it.
Anyone have a non-YouTube link? Apparently, they already took it down for “violating YT’s ToS” 🙄
Not seeing anything except that the video was removed for violating terms of service
This is only a clip.. found everywhere on Twitter. The original was over ten minutes long and so far I have not found another copy of it anywhere.
And of course the only place with the clip uses just 2m of it. Afraid of the other 8m I bet.
