Kudos to Tampa police chief in sharing the research
Because of the state’s 1,000-foot residency restrictions, many registrants are forced into a clustered form of living, which is often not by choice. What does this accomplish? Nothing, but there are numerous collateral consequences for the registrant, their family, and for society.
Tampa Police Chief Delgado understands the problem: “The cause of multiple ‘sex offenders’ residing at one location around Ybor is likely due to the limited housing options in Tampa.” He went on to say publicly that the recidivism rate around Ybor, where the registrants live, is 1%. He acknowledged that this rate is low – that is an understatement for sure!
See, not all cops are bad. Thanks for posting
Yeah, and you are right.
Some of them don’t even agree with the laws they are sworn to enforce.
1%? Wow. That sure is frightening and high.
Hahahahahaha!!
Now I got a real laugh out of that comment!!
:-))
1%. Just wow! And Hillsborough County Just spent tens of thousands of dollars in ramping up fear around Halloween and registered citizens.
Maby they should have spent that money on some better housing options. Or how about repealing these restrictions. I’ll take either one.. But nope. Gotta keep the fear machine alive.
Wow………
………….A Tampa LEO Speaking the Truth!
Nice to see!
BUT…..We Will Wait and See If Their Sheriff makes a Re-Buttle , who appears to be a Two-Talking, Two Stepping One! Quasi Boss Hogg!
While it is a Step Forward, We shall see if ‘HE’ is mummed!
