So solicitation of prostitution on the Internet is now “human trafficking”

Words do matter. Notice that what once was termed soliciting a prostitute has now morphed into “human trafficking.” That is a term eliciting visions of hordes of children being forced into prostitution. This politician was arrested by vice cops for trying to hire a hooker. Excuse me, members of a Human Trafficking Unit. There is more fear, and hence money, in that term.

    Veritas.

‘Human trafficking’ is a term intended to attract appropriations and grant money. It’s why we tend to define the term more and more broadly.

Allegedly the law he broke had to do with solicitation of prostitution, as investigated by a ‘human trafficking’ unit.

That’s too bad. Maby he can take up being an advocate once he’s on the hit list. Welcome to the club.

We always ask for our side to be given the benefit of the doubt and not judge or jump to conclusions. It says He was arrested and charged, not found guilty. I am not sticking up for him but laugh at how we ask the other side to see the whole story but then we do not do it?

You are 100% correct. But the sad part is even if he’s innocent. He’s already been convicted in the court of public opinion. This will forever follow him no matter what the verdict. Its a sad but true reality of being alive in the times of unlimited information available 24/7.

But then again, how easy is it to plant controversial CP pictures on your husband’s computer so you can sell his unborn baby to the same-sex couple in the Netherlands who purchased your last baby! Somebody get me a journalist to cover this!

He was cited and released so the charges are most likely a misdemeanor so he has a good shot at a plea not involving registration.

Perhaps this is what we need to begin the process of change.
It takes high profile cases to see anything happen, no one cares when it’s just the typical every day person
